Description
About Bed Sores Bed sores is a condition to those people who are bed ridden for an extended period of time and stay in one position for too long without shifting their weight. A person is likely to get a pressure ulcer if he uses a wheelchair or is confined to a bed, even for a short period of time (for example, after surgery or an injury) as the continuous pressure against the skin reduces blood supply to that particular area and the effected tissues dies. Bed sores cuts off the body’s blood circulation especially to the vulnerable areas of the body such as the back, elbow, ankles, heels, hips, and the tail bone. These areas are not well- padded enough by the body’s muscle or fat. Body tissues are deprived of nutrients and oxygen when the underlying body tissue and the skin are trapped between the bone and the surface such as a bed or a wheelchair, adequate blood flow is restricted causing irreversible damages to the skin which leads to death of the body tissues. Features: Low air loss, alternating pressure mattress Helps to keep the skin dry and provide pressure relief It keeps the interface pressure against patient’s skin at a level below capillary occlusion The pump operates at very low sound level. Pump can also be hung to the end of the bed by means of 2 hooks. Mattress can resist a temperature of -30 degree Celsius and supports weight of 110kg Kit consists of mattress, motor and spare cell Alternating pressure provides comfort and relief to the skin Dimensions (LXWXH): 180 x 80 x 7.5 cms Specifications: LED ON/OFF switch and rotator dial for pressure setting Pressure range: 55-120 mmHg Air Output: 7-8 litres/min Cycle time: 12 min Call us : MRS SURGICALS / MEDI SURGICALS / Mob: 9080427706
